This is an old family recipe. Very simple, very good. The perfect dessert for a BBQ party.
Ingredients (serves four): - Four medium-ripe bananas
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp Demerara sugar
- 1 oz rum or whiskey
Directions: - Cut bananas in half lenghtwise, but leave in peel
- Sprinkle on sugar and top with honey
- Cover with about 1/2 of the rum or whiskey
- Put on grill at medium heat until peel separates
- Pour remaining rum or whiskey over bananas to flambé them
